Introducing Flexible Tables for DSRs

19 August 2026

We’ve introduced a more flexible and customisable DSR table, making it easier for privacy teams to organise, filter, and monitor Subject Requests according to their operational workflows.

This is the first step in a broader evolution of list experiences across TrustWorks. The Flexible Tables framework will be introduced progressively in other modules, including Processing Activities, Assets, Legal Entities, Initiatives, and other object lists.

What’s new?

Create reusable views

Administrators can now create and save different DSR table views. Each view can have its own combination of:

  • Applied filters
  • Visible columns
  • Column order

Saved views are shared across the organisation, allowing teams to establish consistent views for common workflows—for example, monitoring overdue requests or requests from a particular jurisdiction.

The standard Default View remains available and cannot be edited or deleted. TrustWorks also remembers the last view each user selected and automatically restores it when they return to the DSR list.

Customise table columns

The new column editor allows administrators to:

  • Choose which columns appear in the DSR table
  • Reorder columns
  • Include configured Subject Attributes

This makes it possible to surface the information most relevant to each organisation instead of relying on a fixed table layout.

When the selected columns exceed the available screen width, users can scroll horizontally while keeping request selection controls accessible.

Filter by DSR fields and Subject Attributes

Filters are now available in a dedicated toolbar above the table. Users can filter Subject Requests using supported DSR fields and configured Subject Attributes.

New filtering capabilities include:

  • Due date and days remaining
  • Submitted date range
  • Subject Attributes
  • Requests with no value for a selected field, where applicable
  • Searchable multi-select filters for longer option lists

Applied filters can be saved as part of a reusable view, removing the need to recreate frequently used searches.

See request volumes more clearly

The DSR list now displays the total number of matching requests at the bottom of the page, making it easier to understand the size of the current result set—for example, “Showing 10 of 64 requests.”

A new Submitted At field is also available as both a table column and a date-range filter.

Updated Subject Attribute settings

To support the new table experience, we’ve simplified some Subject Attribute terminology:

  • Other is now Text
  • Boolean is now Toggle
  • File is now File Upload

We’ve also removed the configurable Primary Identifier setting. Email is now used as the primary identifier in the standard DSR view.

File Upload attributes cannot be displayed as table columns.

Why it matters

Every organisation manages DSRs differently, using its own identifiers, processes, and regional workflows. Flexible Tables allow teams to configure the DSR list around the way they work—helping them find relevant requests faster, reuse common operational views, and monitor deadlines and request volumes more easily.

The DSR rollout also establishes a consistent foundation for modernising lists across TrustWorks. As Flexible Tables are introduced module by module, users will gain a more consistent way to configure columns, apply filters, and create reusable views throughout the platform.
